In 2015, the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) released a critical guiding document that continues to affect all health professionals in the U.S. This document, entitled Connecting Health and Care for the Nation: A shared Nationwide Interoperability Roadmap (final version 1.0) provided a cutting-edge plan to improve health technology services that truly serve U.S. citizens and health professionals.
