The role of the nurse in the use of technology to improve the delivery of patient care has evolved. In response, HIMSS has embarked on an initiative to build a community within its membership base for those with a role in nursing informatics. The community helps HIMSS establish its strategic direction and official positions on issues relating to nursing informatics.
