Nursing Informatics Questions and Answers
Questions From Readers

In this section, questions sent in by readers and visitors to the main Nursing Informatics web site are featured. I encourage you to ask questions that you would like to see printed in subsequent issues of this ezine. Go to the Contact Page to submit yours!

Q: I'm trying to fulfill the required 30 C.E. contact > hours for the ANCC Nursing informatics certificate and will this be able to fulfill the 30 CE hour required for the > Informatics Certificate?

The courses in the NI Learning Center are rigorously designed to be equivalent to a 39 hour, 13 week postsecondary course. I am currently in the process of investigating accreditation, but in the meantime, graduates of the courses receive a certificate of completion and a supporting letter detailing the content for CE equivalency evaluation. You can work on the courses at your own pace (the 13 week is a suggested standard).

Q. I am looking for a group to design a web site for a nursing professional association that I belong to, can you recommend a group?

Yes, in fact I offer web design services for professional groups as well as individual web site owners - one example is the Canadian Nursing Informatics Association site. Another example is the now defunct Collaborative Nursing Program in British Columbia site, or the Kwantlen University College Wellness Centre site. More academically inclined sites are these sites: The In/Visibility of Nurses in Cyberculture, the main Nursing Informatics.com site, or the Kwantlen BSN Nursing Informatics curriculum site. Just contact me for a quote - work is professional, speedy, reasonably priced and guaranteed to be unique!
